Framed La Vie en Rose Fan Original

A watercolour study of a stunning 1770 French fan. Made from gilt, ivory and paper and depicting an idyllic pastoral scene. Painted using the technique of camaieu that uses two or three shades of one single colour.

Part of a private collection to be found at The Fan Museum, Greenwich.
